Students 7th to 12th Grade
JHS & HS STUDENTS: Become an Active Member of the Coram Civic Association
Your Coram Civic Association is now actively inviting all 7th to 12th grade students to join the Civic and have your voices heard in our community! Annual dues for 7th to 12th grade students are FREE! We simply would like to have your voices join with all the member voices of our Civic -- the “over 18 crowd” – in planning the future of our hamlet of Coram…or just join with us to see how your local Civic works! Students who are part of their student government or perhaps members of their schools Legislative Committee may be particularly interested in joining, but we welcome each and every student in 7th to 12th grade to join with us and become card-carrying members of the Coram Civic Association. Community Service hours are awarded for attending our meetings and for participating in any committees you may want to join or assisting with any of our annual events. More importantly though, we get to hear your thoughts and opinions and together, we develop plans for the future of Coram. We normally hold our general meetings on the fourth Monday of each month at the Coram Fire Department Community Room at 7:30pm. We are hoping to be out from under the restraints of the pandemic protocols real soon to start our general meetings back up, but don’t wait until then to join! To download an application, click here.
Meetings of the Coram Civic Association are held the 4th Monday of every month except for August and December. December is our annual Holiday Festival & Christmas Tree Lighting featuring Santa Claus arriving for the kids on a Coram Fire Department truck! Meetings are held at the old Coram Fire House located at 303 Middle Country Road (right next to McDonalds). Meetings start at 7:30 pm.
***Please remember to bring "Box Tops for Education", dscarded eyeglasses for the Lion's Club to distribute and non-perishable food items for our local food pantries to our meetings if you are able to! Thank you!
